The ECA Women's Football Committee (WFC) Task Force gathered today in Paris for its second meeting.
Representatives from 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (GER), Birkirkara FC (MLT), Brøndby IF (DEN), Paris Saint-Germain FC (FRA) and Olympique Lyonnais (FRA), joined by a representative of the Elitföreningen Damfotboll (SWE), were present to follow-up on the previous Task Force meeting.
Today's session served to develop some proposals on several strategic issues related to women's football, such as Women's Football development and the promotion of the UEFA Women's Champions League. The ECA administration was able to grasp some interesting suggestions aimed at improving the competition.
The ECA Women's Football Committee was created in May 2013 in response to the growing interest and professionalisation in the women's game. The committee can rely on the vast knowledge and experience of ECA in dealing with similar strategic issues on the men's side.
The next WFC meeting is scheduled to take place in Lisbon, during the WUCL final.
