The #Morethanfootball Action Weeks, an initiative by EFDN in partnership with ECA and the UEFA Foundation for Children, was launched today at the 10th EFDN Conference at Parc des Princes, the home of Paris Saint-Germain FC.
The 10th EFDN Conference brought together experts in CSR from European football organisations, such as clubs, leagues, and federations. The conference featured speakers from the charitable arms of Paris Saint-Germain FC, Real Madrid CF, Celtic Football Club, and Everton FC, as well as the official launch of the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks.
The #Morethanfootball Action Weeks promotes and celebrates the CSR activities of clubs and other stakeholders in European football, and will run from 21st March to 8th April 2018. Following the successful #Morethanfootball Action Week in 2017, which saw 84 professional football organisations participate, ECA has become an official partner of this year’s campaign. These weeks offer the perfect opportunity for clubs to share their work in this area and highlight the incredible role football can have in changing people’s lives for the better.
A new feature of this year’s campaign is the #Morethanfootball #Aroundtheworld Challenge. This challenge encourages everyone who loves football to give their story on why football is #Morethanfootball, try the #Aroundtheworld trick, nominate their friends to do the same, and share the video online.
