January has been a busy month for ECA, with key developments across legal services, leadership initiatives and sustainability.
A key focus at the start of 2025 has been on the ECA Legal Services team, which has provided expert assistance to clubs of all sizes across Europe. To date, ECA has received over 250 legal requests from 122 clubs across 45 territories during the 2024/25 season. These requests highlight the diverse legal challenges and opportunities clubs face in the modern football landscape. From contract advice and training compensation to support with disputes and arbitration, ECA Legal Services provides crucial support that safeguards clubs' interests.
Jaime Segura, Technical Director at Malmö FF, praised the assistance received: “The help we have received from the ECA Legal team has been incredible. Their advice not only had an immediate impact on our club but also helped us plan better for the future.”
ECA’s commitment to legal support extends across all levels of the game, ensuring that clubs, regardless of size, have the necessary guidance to navigate evolving regulations and challenges. You can read more about our Legal Services offering here.
ECA Club Connect is set to return to Madrid, providing clubs with a vital opportunity to engage, exchange insights, and strengthen partnerships within the football ecosystem. More details on this highly anticipated event, which is scheduled for 19-20 March 2025, can be found here.
