The ECA Executive Board, chaired by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, today decided at its meeting in Lisbon to appoint FC Barcelona President, Mr Josep Maria Bartomeu, as ECA representative at the UEFA Professional Football Strategy Council. Subsequently, Mr Bartomeu will also take up a seat on the ECA Executive Board until the end of the running 2013-15 membership cycle.
Further, it was decided to appoint ECA Board Member and Real Madrid CF Vice-President, Mr Pedro López Jiménez, as the new ECA 2nd Vice-Chairman.
Finally, Manchester United's Executive Vice-Chairman, Mr Ed Woodward, was nominated to act as Chairman of the ECA Marketing & Communications Working Group.
These appointments follow the decision of former FC Barcelona President, Mr Sandro Rosell, to step down from all his ECA positions at the beginning of this year.
