Thirty representatives of ECA Member Clubs from the fourth subdivision met in Budapest on the 4th of April for the first Subdivision Meeting of the new cycle.
Hosted by the newly crowned 2015/16 Hungarian champions Ferencvárosi TC, the meeting saw the participation of 26 clubs representing 14 National Associations. Clubs from Andorra, Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro and Slovakia took up the opportunity to meet each other in order to discuss trending topics of common interest.
In the presence of ECA Executive Board Member Aki Riihilahti (HJK Helsinki), the meeting was an occasion to share views on the current and future format of the UEFA Club Competitions and on the protection of training clubs. The topic of governance at national level was equally debated. Additionally, the ECA Administration informed the participants about its latest projects and organisational developments and collected feedback on the organisation.
The major outcomes of this Subdivision Meeting will be reported to the whole ECA Executive Board at the occasion of the next ECA Executive Board Meeting, to be held in Amsterdam on the 19th of April.
