The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) organises the 2015 ESSMA Summit at the Allianz Arena in Munich on the 27th and 28th of January 2015. The event is organised in partnership with ECA, EPFL (European Professional Football Leagues) and the ICSS (International Centre for Sport Security).

The Summit combines behind-the-scene technical stadium tours, keynote speeches on major stadium technology & international branding and in-depth workshop sessions on specific issues. Summit participants will be able to choose from a variety of different workshops in order to pursue an individual programme based on their own preferences. The event offers a great platform for stadium experts as well as club and league representatives to exchange thoughts and know-how on different topics relating to the fast-evolving stadium business.

Behind-the-scene technical stadium tours

The Summit combines an insight into the eco-friendly, 30.000-seater SGL Arena of FC Augsburg. The host venue - the acknowledged Allianz Arena in Munich - will give an insight into its operations by outlining the key facts & figures of the arena. The Summit also gives participants the opportunity to visit the Allianz Arena during a technical tour or the Bayern Munich training ground.

Keynote speakers & in-depth workshops

Paul Turner of Dallas Cowboys Football Club is one of the keynote speakers confirmed at the Summit. His presentation "How technology enhances fan-experience at the AT&T Stadium" will show how technology and customer service enhance stadium experience. The AT&T Stadium (opened in 2009) is a city-owned stadium with a retractable roof in Arlington, Texas, United States and is one of the NFL stadiums with the most advanced technological amenities. It has a capacity of 80.000, making it the third largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity. The maximum capacity of the stadium, including standing room-only capacity, is 105.121.

Besides keynote speakers, the Summit includes nine in-depth workshops focusing on stadium architecture & construction, operations & financing as well as fan experience & revenue generation. These workshops take into account best practices from small, medium & large venues and stadia from all over Europe. The confirmed workshop speakers, amongst others, include representatives from FC Spartak Moskva, Celtic FC, Olympique de Marseille, Rugby Football Union, Wembley Stadium, KAA Ghent, Ferencvárosi TC and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
