The inaugural edition of the Polish Football Forum is taking place in Warsaw today.

Hosted by Legia Warszawa in collaboration with the European Club Association (ECA), the conference is dedicated to the development and future of Polish football and brings together the leaders and key stakeholders from the Polish and international sport, business and media environment. One of the key objectives of the event is to discuss current trends and issues in Polish and European football linked to topics such as football strategy, technology, innovation and economics, which will eventually contribute to the development of a coherent long-term strategy for Polish football as a whole.

More than 250 participants are in attendance to contribute and listen to the speakers and panelists, which include, amongst others, Witold Banka (Minister of Sport & Tourism of the Republic of Poland), Zbigniew Boniek (President of the Polish Football Association), Dariusz Marzec (Ekstraklasa S.A. President), Dariusz Mioduski (Owner and Chairman of Legia Warszawa and ECA Executive Board Member) and ECA General Secretary Michele Centenaro.

As part of a panel debate addressing football development and strategy issues, the ECA Club Management Guide will be presented with a focus on performance enhancement in small-, medium-sized and big European clubs and how the findings of the Guide can be applied to Polish club football and Polish football in general. Launched in 2015, the ECA Club Management Guide is a publication that provides an in-depth study of the daily business activities of a football club offering great insight into effective club management methods from clubs of various sizes and countries in Europe. The club management areas dealt with in the Guide include, but are not limited to, operational, commercial, community and sporting activities.
