With most National and European competitions set to finish in a month time, European club football is now entering its most crucial stage.
Several national championships have already delivered their final verdicts and crowned their national champions for the 2013/14 season. Congratulations to ECA Members Olympiacos FC (GRE), FC Red Bull Salzburg (AUT), FC Bayern München (GER), Celtic FC (SCO), The New Saints FC (WAL), SL Benfica (POR), Cliftonville FC (NIR), GNK Dinamo (CRO), AFC Ajax (NED), FC Santa Coloma (AND), Fenerbahçe SK (TUR), Valletta FC (MLT) for already winning their national championships!
The upcoming weeks will be decisive in order to define the remaining champions and all the qualified teams for next season's European Competitions. Accordingly, the UEFA Competition Access List for the 2014/15 season will see regular updates in the coming weeks. As for the European competitions, the return leg for both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League semi-finals will be played this week. ECA Members Real Madrid CF, FC Bayern München, Chelsea FC and Club Atlético de Madrid are battling to play the UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon on the 24th of May, while ECA Members Juventus, SL Benfica, Valencia CF and Sevilla FC are aiming to play the UEFA Europa League final in Turin on the 14th of May. These games will play a key role in defining the final 2014 UEFA Club Coefficient Ranking. The Club Ranking is updated directly after each completed round of matches and can be viewed here.
