Biography

Stacy Johns is the Chief Operating Officer of LAFC Partners, LLLP (LAFC), which owns and operates the Los Angeles Football Club in Major League Soccer (MLS), winners of the 2024 U.S. Open Cup, 2022 MLS Cup and 2019 and 2022 Supporters’ Shield. She also oversees all operations and events at BMO Stadium, which has become a premier entertainment venue in Los Angeles. She was named a 2023 Game Changer by the Sports Business Journal and 2024 CFO of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal. During her tenure, both LAFC and BMO Stadium have received numerous awards, including being ranked as the most valuable club in MLS by both Forbes and Sportico (rising from $475M to $1.2B), recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, and named to Pollstar’s Top 5 in Worldwide Concert Sales, and to Billboard ‘s Top 20 Global List of Best Stadiums For Touring. 

In her current role, Stacy is responsible for a number of revenue generating verticals, data strategy, IT, and people operations, while retaining oversight of finance and accounting departments, including coordination of fiscal planning, accountability, and strategy across all segments of the business, which she had in her role as LAFC’s Chief Financial Officer. Stacy oversees the club’s international operations, serving as the President of the Board of Directors of Grasshopper Club Zurich and Managing Director of FC Wacker Innsbruck, as well as playing a critical role in Red & Gold Football, LAFC’s joint venture for global player development with FC Bayern Munich. Stacy was recently elected to the European Club Association (ECA) Board.

Prior to joining LAFC, Stacy was the Vice President of Finance and Human Resources at the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League where she oversaw the financial health of the organization with a focus on revenue and managing a staff that oversees day-to-day finance, data analytics, and human resources. She began her career as a Certified Public Accountant in roles with Ernst & Young and Eli Lilly.

Stacy currently serves on the Boards of Directors and Finance Committees for the LA Sports Council and Pro Sports Assembly, as well as the Corporate Advisory Board of the USC Marshall School of Business. She is also on the advisory board of the LAFC Sports Foundation.

Stacy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (Cum Laude) from Butler University. She has three children, Vivian, Camille, and Charlie.
