Biography
Bart Verhaeghe is Chairman of Club Brugge NV since 2011 and during Bart’s tenure, Club Brugge has won 11 trophies of which 6 titles, one cup, 4 super cups and qualified each year for European football. Club Brugge qualified six times for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and in season 2022-23 Club Brugge reached the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Club Brugge also qualified four times for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and in season 2023-24 Club Brugge reached the semi final of the UEFA Conference League.
In addition to being Chairman of Club Brugge, Bart was also the Vice-President of the Royal Belgian Football Association and was responsible for the Belgian Red Devils during the World Cup of 2018 where Belgium ended third.
Bart has been an entrepreneur for more than 30 years, active in real estate and project development, private and public equities as well as in the non profit sector.
Bart holds a Master in Law (University of Leuven) and obtained a MBA at Vlerick Business School.
